MEET THE ADVOCATES

Sally Jones, Director
Hi,  I’m Sally Jones.  I have a long history with IU including life as a student, a financial aid counselor, and coordinator of Returning Students Services.  I have served on several scholarship committees, and currently serve on the Council on Student Affairs, and the Sexual Assault Service Providers Committee.  I also worked on the committee that wrote and reviewed the latest revisions to the Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities and Conduct.  I hold a master’s degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology and am a trained mediator.   Working in student services at IU over the past 20 years, I have found advocacy a role I find rewarding, challenging and one that seems to fit me quite well.

Frank Banta, Assistant Director
I’m Frank Banta, retired professor of Germanic Studies, a student advocate since 1988. I’m slow, patient, a good listener, armed with 42 years experience at IU and a wide circle of acquaintances. May I help you?
